I don’t know, but I’m sure a user manual that has been poorly-translated from Japanese to English will be able to explain.

Hey girl, good thing I get to drive you home. I’ll be able to show you my auto stick.

Stupidest “autostick” deisgn ever. Going side to side just feels so wrong. I know Chrylser/Dodge/Jeep isn’t alone in this flaw, VW did it too, but it always bugged me. Especially in the Patriot/Compass where the autostick feature felt even more useless than usual.

the compass' main flaw was a continously hunting gearbox that resulted is pitiful acceleration. Playing with it "manually" didnt really change much, it kept overriding my desires seeminglg long before redline.
